Cadmium (Cd) is a heavy metal, which will pollute the soil and affect growth development of plants. Grafting can alleviate toxicity metals. Pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata Duch.) commonly-used grafting rootstock for melon plants, breeding with cadmium tolerance plays vital role in safe production In this study, pumpkin MB3, FB1 their hybrid F1 ZF1 were used as experimental materials. The substrate culture was applied under conditions (8, 16, 24 mg/L), defense response to studied, free stress control. results indicated that stress, seedlings inhibited, but compared control, Cd promoted plant height ZF1. determination content each part showed accumulation ability roots higher than parents, transfer coefficient shoot low, reduced concentration leaves, improved photosynthetic assimilation leaves seedlings, enhanced activities antioxidant enzymes (SOD, POD, CAT). Root activity root scanner had least damage MB3 parents. distribution systems subcellular initiated membrane protective enzyme, relieved membrane, through cell wall blocked its entrance cytoplasm.
